Spain is known by many for its slow rhythm of life and chill attitude of its people. Something which the famous “vermut” and “apertivo” have a lot to do with.
If you’ve ever visited Spain you might have noticed that lunch isn’t just lunch, specially during the weekends lunch is divided in three parts: “aperitivo”, “comida” and “sobre mesa”. Aperitivo happens before lunch, while waiting for food to be ready or friends who always arrive late. Vermut is the typical drink to have while waiting, usually coming along with some olives “para picar”.
